I didn’t get through to anyone, but then was phoned FROM THAT SAME NUMBER by someone who sounded like a legit scammer. I’ve already reported it to Santander’s fraud team.

They try to get you to open a so-called safe account - don’t fall for it. Real Santander never has “safe accounts” and won’t ring you from that number.
