Got a letter claiming to be from the Dept for Work and Pensions about a meeting to talk through changes to my benefits.

The letter had loads of grammar mistakes and even the address was off, so it felt dodgy.

Absolutely no way am I letting anyone like that into my house.

This number called me to arrange an appointment, giving me a reference number and a name. They actually showed up at my house right on the scheduled date and time. During the visit, they asked for confirmation of bank details and seemed to already know about my Universal Credit situation.

Got two texts from this number saying someone from DWP would come round at 11am, even gave a name and date. They included a reference number to call back too, so it seemed pretty legit. Still, I’ve just ignored it because I’m thinking it’s probably a scam.
