I got a call that seemed to be from PayPal Credit. They knew my name and even had my email address. They mentioned the exact amount and date of my last payment and told me I’d missed one. I’d only paid part of what I owed. They kindly took off the late fee and reminded me to clear the remaining balance via the app. Sure, phone numbers can be faked, but since they knew details about my last payment and my previous Pay-in-3 usage, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a scam this time.
