I got a recorded message from some magazine company or whatever. I’d never come across them before and the way the message was worded felt kinda intimidating, so I just assumed it was spam!

They've been ringing pretty much every day. I've not picked up once, and they never bother to leave a voicemail. Had a look on Google but found nothing useful, so I'd say it's just one of those annoying spam calls!

There’s something fishy here, they keep calling from the 0800 8838928 number. But the hold music sounds a bit off to me. They told me to ring the nationwide 03 number, but I reckon that’s just to make it look legit. They also ring me every morning really early, even before regular office time.

The person said they were from Barclays, but when I asked for their full name they started stammering badly (obviously their name wasn’t in the script and they got nervous). When I replied to their “we just need to verify some details, is that alright?” with “No, because you’re not Barclays,” they just hung up immediately.

Got a call and text sayin they’re from Barclays but looked fishy. They use some kinda trick with your phone to make it show Barclays on your screen. Plus there’s a link included that takes you to a bogus Barclays website trying to steal your info. Proper scam!

Its Barclays, they send a text from their main number saying they tried to ring and ask you to call back, and when you do you end up speaking with Barclays directly.

I keep getting calls from these individuals claiming to be from Barclays Bank, and one would think that, given their extensive resources, they would be taking action against such scams. It's utterly ridiculous that they continue to fob it off and allow unsuspecting members of the public to deal with it! This cannot be right, can it?

I found out through my dealings with BARCLAYS BANK that this is a dodgy scam or phishing operation. They give you a bell, seem to know your name, and have your phone number thanks to a pre-recorded message. Then a person jumps on the line, often asking you to ring them back or abruptly disconnecting the call, which just makes you want to return the call. Now, I’ve got to contact my mobile provider to ascertain whether this might be a premium rate number! Such a nuisance, I must say!!!

I found out through BARCLAYS BANK that this is a dodgy scam or phishing attempt. They call you, already knowing your name, and they manage to identify your phone number through a recorded message. After that, a person comes on the line and either requests that you ring back or simply hangs up, coaxing you into making the return call. Now, I’ve got to get in touch with my mobile provider to find out if this could be a premium rate number! What a right hassle!

I've been trying to get in touch with Barclays regarding some claims, but they haven't responded. Coupled with the suspicious texts I've been receiving, it all has the vibe of a scam. Quite concerning, really!
