Got a call from some automated system claiming to be from SSE, trying to trick me into handing over my bank info and security codes to "pay" a bill. Thing is, my electric company is BULB ENERGY, not SSE. Sounds like a classic scam to me - just another one of those dodgy crooks looking to drain your account. If SSE actually wanted payments, wouldn’t they have real people you could talk to first instead of leaving it all to some robot asking for full access to your bank? Proper scammers, honestly.

Got a few messages saying I needed to pay my electric bill, including a link. The amount seemed way too much for a place I haven’t even set foot in because of COVID. I did follow the link outta curiosity, and while the site seemed legit, I was wary since I haven’t actually set up an account with SSE yet. Guess it was one of those scams, so I searched the number online. No idea how they got my phone, but honestly, I’m just gonna stick to getting bills in the post from now on!
