It seems to me that this outfit is linked to Aditus. Their tricks often revolve around misleading magazine offers that suggest you've either registered for something, made a purchase, or even struck lucky in a prize draw. They’re quite keen on hooking people into various subscriptions. A family member of mine, who’s a bit more advanced in years, fell victim to a number of these subscriptions without realising until heaps of letters began piling up at her doorstep. Thankfully, she’s now taken the precaution of blocking their number!

I picked up when this number rang, and could hear a lot of chatter like it was coming from an office or call centre. I asked who was speaking, but the line went dead straight away.

I got a call from 0800 856 1406 and the moment I picked up, they just hung up straight away. Seems a bit odd to me.

Yeah, I’ve had the same experience as others here. Best thing to do is just block the number and fingers crossed it stops bothering you.

I got a call saying they were sending me a free issue of Computer Active mag for completing some survey. The funny thing is, they used my maiden name, which I stopped using like 15 years ago. So, if I did that survey, it was ages back! I just ended up hanging up. Smelled a bit suspicious to me.
