Had a thick Irish accent, claimed to be from Sky about some upgrade. He sounded pretty believable at first, but then asked me for my Sky password right in the middle of his sales talk. I told him I didn’t know it straight away. After that, he suddenly lost interest, which made me suspicious. Somebody from Sky called me about upgrading to their Q box, really nice about it when I said no and even thanked me for my time. Haven’t had any more calls since then.

Received a call just past midnight and it jolted me from my slumber, made me think it was something urgent. I picked up, still groggy, and lo and behold - silence on the other end!

Supposedly Sky called to say I've been a customer for 1 year and 7 months and that I qualify for some new offers. Problem is, I've only been with Sky for under a year. They never properly checked if I was the account owner, and when I asked for confirmation of my address on their system, the bloke just replied, 'You need to give us your info to prove you're the account holder, I can only answer yes or no.' Feels a bit dodgy, not convinced it was really Sky.

I’ve had a few calls from 0800 numbers lately but never picked up. Every time I look them up here, folks say it’s either SKY or a con! SKY usually ring me about my subscription and their numbers always start with 0330. I only ever call them back on those 0330 numbers, so from what I can tell, these 0800 calls aren’t from SKY at all - probably just a scam!!!!

A gentleman from Ireland rang me earlier today, asserting he was representing Sky. He attempted to pitch me Sky Q. I made it quite clear, before he proceeded, that I'm not in the market for anything sold by cold callers. Frankly, I have my doubts about him being genuinely from Sky, as the company ought to be well aware of how many boxes I currently possess. In the end, I simply informed him that I wasn't keen!

This number 08007830111 has called me on several occasions: 15 December 2017, 9 February 2018, 17 April 2018 and again on 18 April 2018. The bloke on the line had an accent and pretended to be from Sky on the last call. I told him off loudly and said he was a scammer and definitely not Sky. I've checked with Sky themselves and they are fully aware this is still happening. BE VERY CAREFUL AND DO NOT SHARE ANY BANK DETAILS WITH THIS NUMBER AS YOU’LL LIKELY HAVE YOUR ACCOUNT DRAINED VERY QUICKLY.

Got calls from this number every single weekday for the past week. After reading some of the other reviews here, I worked out it’s from Sky. Glad I didn’t pick up, and I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number so they won’t bother me again.

They just rung me but I haven’t got a clue who it is. When I pick up I don’t say anything or greet them, just stay quiet and listen. Since I dont say a word, no one really chats back as it sounds like an automated voice. After around 40 seconds the call just drops. No hassle at all.

A chap from Ireland claimed he hailed from the skies and tried to pitch me some sort of deal. I politely declined, and he just replied with a rather abrupt “alright, bye”. To be honest, he didn’t come across as someone who would actually be from anywhere that lovely! It was a touch rude too, especially considering he somehow knew my name. How curious!

For the past week, my phone's been buzzing every evening. I haven’t picked up once. After checking online, sounds like it’s either some dodgy sales call or a scam. Either way, I’m not having any of it.

They said they were from SkyQ, but I was suspicious right away when they started pushing some SkyQ offer. I asked them to tell me what equipment I had and which plan I was on. She claimed I had Sky HD with a basic TV package, which wasn’t true at all. I told her to end the call immediately because it was clear she had no clue about my actual package or if I even had Sky at all. Total SCAM, don’t share any of your info with them.

A few folks here have actually contacted Sky and were told it’s a scam, so I’m confused by those saying it’s really Sky calling. Are you just taking the caller’s word for it? Someone rang me saying they were from Sky and that I had a Sky Q reward waiting for me. I was careful not to share any info, since it was a cold call. They gave me a reference number to prove they were legit. I ended the call and decided to ring Sky myself. They told me they never made any calls to me and there was no reward on my account. I gave them the reference number but it was useless. Definitely sounds like a scam.
