Got a text claiming there was a transaction at B&Q that needed confirming through Santander, with a phone number to call. Problem is, I don’t even have an account with Santander and haven’t been anywhere near B&Q. I rang the number, and it sounded like a call centre. When I told them I didn’t bank with Santander, the person on the line just hung up on me. After looking into it more, I’m pretty sure it’s a total scam.

Got a message asking me to verify a payment of 3480gbp and then they wanted me to ring them back. Totally dodgy, definitely scammers trying it on.
