I got a call claiming to be from Santander, so I rang them up to check. They did say the number matched one of theirs, but they had no record of actually contacting me. They reckoned it was dodgy, especially since no way would they ask for my phone number as part of security checks. Sounds like a scam to me.

They called asking for someone in my family, but I wouldn’t chat with them once I figured it was a robot on the line. I prefer speaking to actual people, so I just ended the call.
