I think it's Santander's fraud team. Got a message from the bank saying to ring this number to verify a transaction.

sounds like it might be santander's fraud team. they ring out of the blue after i use my card online, then pretty much let me carry on with a different santander card for the same purchase. it’s one of those automated calls. if you reply and confirm the purchase is legit, they just go ahead and charge you again, so you can end up paying twice. i stopped chasing my refund since the amount was tiny. they kept blaming it on some telemarketer who apparently ‘requested’ the payment all over again.
