Got a call from someone claiming to be Santander, but I'm pretty sure it's a scam. Couldn't really trust it.

this number rang us today and initially we thought it was a scam since they said they were calling from santander's fraud team, so we just hung up straight away. but after checking through other methods, it turned out the call really was from santander's fraud department. my advice is if you’re ever unsure about a call, don’t pick up or just hang up, then verify by calling a trusted number like the one on the back of your debit card. better to be cautious than risk it!

Got a call from someone saying they were Santander's fraud team... asked for part of my DOB! Ended the call straight away before giving any details.

dont trust any messages saying its not a scam, theyre part of it too. this isnt santander calling. ive had 4 automated calls on my home phone, none on my mobile or via text. I rang santander directly on their legit number (not the one the automated call gave) and they told me straight away its a fraud, just ignore it.

Got a call from this number early this morning just after 8.00am, saying there was fraud with my Santander account - total rubbish! I’ve blocked it now since then. It’s called me a few times already after that, but I’m not picking up. Had to block a close number like this one a while back too.

Got a text from someone saying it was from santanterfraud, asking me to put in a 3 digit code. I just deleted it and then got a couple of automated calls saying the same thing. Seems strange a bank would do that. I've checked my account and nothing's wrong. Planning to pop into the bank later to let them know.

This number has been nonstop calling me lately.

got a text last friday saying it was from santander, then another with a number to call. i didn’t ring them, but they phoned me instead. when i answered there was an automated voice then a lady came on. she asked about some recent transactions to check if i recognised them. two i hadn’t, so she said she’d cancel my card and a new one arrived this morning. at no point did she ask for my full card details, just my name and address which is pretty standard and easy info to get hold of these days. seems legit, i don’t reckon scammers would bother sending a new card.

Got a call from 08006406117, sounded really sketchy and they said they were from Santander. Tried to get me to press some buttons on the phone. Best not to get caught out, just hang up straight away and if ya can, block the number.

Got a message really early at like 3am saying 'Santander: Your card was charged at 2:58am...' asking to reply Y or N to confirm or deny, or to ring 0800 06406117. The call seemed to come from +44 7860 015189. I replied 'N' before I thought to check, but I'll look at my account later today. Since it didn't mention my actual account number, I’m guessing it’s dodgy and might have to block the number to stop it happening again.
