I got a call from this number after I noticed a payment request on my PayPal account. Believing it to be a genuine inquiry concerning a mistaken payment, I gave them a ring. To my surprise, they sent me a code to confirm my identity, claiming it was linked to "Amazon". When I probed further, the woman abruptly ended the call. Clearly a scam!

i got a letter from what looked like Barclays about some refund they said i was due, so i looked into it and it turned out to be legit. they asked for quite a bit of personal info, which made me a bit wary, but i did a proper background check before handing anything over. in the end, i did get the refund about 5 weeks later, so all’s well that ends well.
