This is actually a real M&S number. I got a call about a cheque I hadn’t cashed. I’d done a PPI claim and got a little money back, but the cheque was in my old surname so I couldn’t use it. They’re contacting folks who’ve been sent cheques they never cashed. In the end, I decided to give the money to charity.

I got a letter about some ppi from m&s and the number on it was the same as the one listed on the fea site to reach m&s. They asked me a bunch of stuff to confirm who I was but I wanted to be sure so I looked it up again. Seems genuine and fits with the info the fca put out.

Received a call earlier about something related to my M&S Bank enquiry. Wasn't aware of it before but was given the 0800 633 5817 number to ring back. To be sure, I rang M&S Bank on a different number and they told me it was from their PPI department, which I do have a claim with. So I called the 0800 633 5817 number again and got through to the PPI team, so it seems legit.

Turns out it really was M&S! I was pretty suspicious at first, so I double-checked the number after getting voicemail messages on both my mobile and home phone. I went through quite a few hoops - rang the main M&S finance line and they could see a record of the call. Eventually, I got through to someone who told me they’re looking into a PPI claim made by Gladstone Brookes on my behalf. Not sure why the other commenter said M&S didn’t know the number, but from what I can tell this was all genuine. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

I saw a missed call pop up, then got a text saying there was a voicemail. I called back, but it just went to some weird answerphone message, then went quiet. Felt really sketchy to me.

I got a couple of voicemails from someone saying they're from M&S Bank, asking me to call back on 0800 6335817. It felt a bit dodgy, so I decided to check by reaching out to M&S Bank through their official website. They told me that number isn't theirs at all. So yeah, I'm pretty sure it’s a scam trying to fool people.

This phone number seems dodgy to me, looks like it’s connected to a scam involving another number, 03459000900. They claim to be from M&S Bank, ringing about PPI. Thing is, I’m actually trying to claim PPI from M&S myself, so either I’m mistaken or this PPI firm has some serious security problems.
