I recently joined Retiready by Aegon, an online platform for pensions and investments. They gave me a friendly call just to check if I managed to get logged in and find my way around the website alright. The woman who called was really polite, and there was nothing wrong with the number they called from.

They’re still sending out those annoying robocalls, even now in 2016. Can’t believe how persistent these automated spam calls are!

Whenever the phone rings, I just end the call right away.

Got a call from this firm saying they had "some good news" for me and then I got 3 letters about a pension I’ve never even heard of. They asked loads of personal info like my DOB and National Insurance number to verify my identity. When I asked them about it, they mentioned Aegon and Retiready websites and gave me some numbers to call. But when I checked with those places, they said they don’t have any record of me at all. Seems a bit dodgy if you ask me.

Even though we've registered with TPS, these annoying calls still keep coming through.

I recently signed up online for Aegon's new Retiready service, which helps with planning pensions and retirement income, so I don't mind this kind of 'call-back' at all. For me, it's not really a 'cold call', and I usually give them a chance to explain what they're offering when they first get in touch.

Got a missed call on my mobile at 7:48pm during the Bank Holiday. Tried ringing back from my landline but it said the number doesn’t exist.

This number is used by those dodgy PPI claim companies and ambulance chasing firms.

I've been getting calls from this number a few times daily, like 2 or 3. Haven't picked up once, and don't plan on it either.
