I recently joined Retiready, a pension and investment platform from Aegon. They were kind enough to ring me up to check if I could access my account and find my way through the website without any hassle. The woman on the line was extremely courteous, and I didn’t encounter any issues with this number at all.

I find it rather dubious that a firm has reached out to me, claiming to have "some good news" and insisting they've contacted me "three times" about a pension I've never possessed. They were keen to obtain a myriad of personal details for "verification purposes," like my date of birth and National Insurance number. When I probed further, they provided me with information linked to Aegon and Retiready, yet both had no record of my existence. Quite questionable, if you ask me!

Despite our registration with the Telephone Preference Service, it seems we're still bombarded by these pesky calls that slip past the system. It's rather infuriating!

Aegon Pensions - I've recently signed up for the Aegon Retiready service online, which is a nifty platform for planning pensions and retirement income, along with some advisory assistance. Therefore, I don’t see any issue with these sorts of ‘call-back’ communications. Personally, I wouldn’t classify this as unsolicited or intrusive. I’m quite happy to lend an ear to their initial pitch regardless.

I received a missed call on my mobile at 19:48 on a Bank Holiday. When I tried to return the call on my landline, it turn out there was no such number. Odd, isn't it?

This number is being used by pesky ambulance chasers and those dodgy PPI claim agents.

I had a chat regarding Aeon’s pension services, and it was all about how to navigate their shiny new online offerings. The representative I spoke to was exceptionally courteous and really helpful.
