I received a phone call from a lady who addressed me by my first name and inquired about my surname. Curious about the purpose of the call, I questioned her regarding the matter. She claimed to represent a cooking academy. However, I found her response suspicious and promptly terminated the call before blocking the unknown number.

This number from "premier cooking academy" has been constantly ringing me after I bought something from Easylife a couple of years ago. They keep asking for my dad who's 84, despite me repeatedly telling them to take his name off their list. Easylife got fined £1.48 million in October 2022 for sharing customer details without permission to push health products and making unwanted marketing calls. I'd recommend reporting this to the ICO if anyone else is getting these calls - they seem connected.

Just got a call from 0800 472 5973, some really rude British lady on the line. She was really pushy wanting to talk to me. I told her she was live on the radio, then she asked which station, so I said the local one. Next thing, she started reading out my address! Had to block her straight away. Told her I’d report her to the police, and she claimed all calls are recorded - yeah right, didn’t buy it for a second. Definitely a scam. She said she was from a cooking school or something.
