What a downright scam! I had a call from someone masquerading as Nationwide, after receiving a dodgy text from a different number regarding some so-called suspicious activity linked to my bank account.

This dodgy bloke was fishing for my card details, claiming it was necessary to cancel my card.

When I informed him that Nationwide confirmed they hadn’t reached out to me, he had the audacity to tell me to “go shove it” and promptly hung up.

Just a heads up: the genuine Nationwide number is only a single digit away!
