Just like others have pointed out, this is yet another PayPal hoax where they’re trying to con you into shelling out cash under the guise of “fraudulent” dealings. They urge you to ring a particular number. Take my advice-steer clear of that number, as they’ll likely keep you chatting with the aim of racking up your bill significantly. Please, avoid handing over any funds they demand.

I’ve just come across an email from "Stanley Hendrix" that looks strikingly similar to another one I received recently (5th February 2023). I’ll be getting rid of it without even opening it!

I got a rather peculiar PayPal request for £650, supposedly from someone I don’t recognise at all. They went on to suggest that I ring this number if it “wasn’t my doing”. Definitely seems like a scam to me! Best to steer clear of sending any cash or making that call. Stay safe, everyone!

I received an email seemingly from PayPal, requesting that I transfer £650 to a chap named Larry. Honestly, I've got no clue who he is. I’ve decided to block the transaction altogether and didn’t even bother dialling the number provided. Better safe than sorry!

I gave that number a ring, and right away they began probing for my credit card details - they wanted the whole lot! As soon as I declined to share the card info, they promptly cut the call. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

I received the identical email. I've sent it on to PayPal for their review. Since I don't use PayPal frequently, I've opted to shut down my account.

I recently got a rather alarming message from someone named "Geneva N Gibson," claiming there had been suspicious activity on my account. It stated that £649.99 had been taken out for DECATHLON gift cards, which I certainly didn’t authorise. The message urged me to contact them right away on +44 800 368 9719 if I hadn’t initiated the purchase. This all showed up in my PayPal notifications, but after a bit of digging, I realised that the number provided wasn't linked to PayPal at all-just another scam attempt. I promptly cancelled the invoice. Be cautious, folks!
