I got a call from someone claiming to be from Santander’s fraud team, saying I was flagged for high risk fraud. They gave me a number to ring back - 08003689690 - and mentioned some reference like VHTP 332681ER. It didn’t sound right at all, so I just blocked the number and ignored it. When I checked Santander’s official site, the fraud contact details were totally different. Looks like a classic phone scam to me.

I saw a missed call from this number but they didn’t leave any voicemail. Since I don’t know or recognise it, I’m guessing it was just some sales or marketing call.
