He mentioned there were two transactions amounting to around £1500 that were on hold, as they didn’t seem to fit my usual spending patterns. He urged me to ring a specific number to liaise with the fraud department to halt the payments and sort out a new card. Moreover, he mentioned that there had been two attempts to access my online account... To verify the legitimacy, I tried calling my mobile from the office landline (just to ensure it wasn’t a trick from their end) and contacted the customer service number printed on my card. What a complete scam! There are no transactions or suspicious account activity on my end.
