Got a ring from them on 26/04/23, saying they needed me to confirm my email for some PayPal data protection thing. Wouldn’t actually explain what it was, but said they’d send me a message via my PayPal app - which seemed odd since that’s how I’d confirm my email in the first place. Loads of fake reviews here, this definitely isnt an official PayPal number. I dont even have a PayPal account! They just want your info, so dont ever give out your details. These scammers post false comments pretending to be PayPal. I aint falling for it and certainly not paying anything!

This ain't PayPal, it's some dodgy thing called NSTC PAL or something, full of fake reviews and scammers. If they already had my info, why would they keep asking for it? They only ask ‘cause they don't know it yet. Once you hand over your details, you’re done for - never share personal stuff. They’ve been causing a right racket, soon I’ll be banging back with my Wilkinson, see how they like that! Can't pull one over me, I’m no mug. My info stays private, no matter who you are - PAL, NSTC, whoever - you’re just another scammer to me.

Yeah it was definitely PayPal. I got a call earlier but it dropped on me, probably my phone signal acting up. So I looked up the number here and realised it might be from PayPal. Turns out I missed my payment by a few days. Sorted it all out now.

Be careful, this is a total rip-off. After getting a call, I rang PayPal myself ’cause I was a bit iffy about it, and they told me it wasn’t them at all. The person on the phone kept claiming they were from PayPal and even tried to prove it by sending an email and a notification through the PayPal app. The dodgy email they used was [email protected], and they confirmed that they wouldn’t send random app alerts like that. They said they’re going to investigate this scam. Keep your eyes open!

I got a call from someone saying they were from PayPal because I missed my direct debit payment. The guy asked me to verify my email, but I wasn’t comfortable just giving it over the phone. So instead, he sent a message through the PayPal app itself to show he was legit. After I confirmed my email, he explained the missed payment and asked why it hadn’t gone through. Got a letter from this number claiming to be from Paypal, saying I owed money on a credit default. The letter looks proper official, signed by some collections manager named James Abel. They even gave a PO box address to contact: PObox 10360, 51 Saffron Road, Wigston LE18 9FF, plus a ‘freephone’ number to call. But Paypal never uses PO boxes or freephone numbers, so definitely a scam!

Someone rang my mobile claiming to be Ryan from PayPal. He wanted my email to “verify” my identity. I told him I don’t share my info over the phone unless I can be sure who I’m talking to.
