Thinking the same as some folks here, I reckon it was about trying to get a quote from BT yesterday, but they never left a voicemail. Plus, I already said on their site I didn't want any more calls. Total scam. I just finished sorting a contract with BT online yesterday. Then today, I got a call from 08003357101. The person sounded legit, claiming they were checking up on my order (this was right after I got a suspicious automated call). When I started voicing my doubts, the call just cut off. I’m with the others on this one - likely BT calling, though they haven’t left a single voicemail after twice ringing me. I’d just checked out the BT Wholesale site a few times to report how rubbish my broadband speed has been. Now if BT reckons they’ll try a follow-up “sales” call, they must be having a laugh! It’s ALL down to BT’s monopoly that my broadband’s so slow, and they can’t be bothered or don’t want to fork out to run fibre the last 300 metres from the cabinet to my home. I’ll NEVER buy anything from BT willingly, no chance.
