Well, I rang Barclay straight away to ask about this number and the message I got. Somehow, my direct debit had been stopped without me knowing, which caused a late fee to pop up. After I spoke to them, they sorted it out pretty fast and even gave me the money back for the late charge.

I received a message from these lot and, being a bit nervous, I phoned them back. Good job I didn’t have my credit card because they only managed to get a bit of info like my date of birth and postcode. They then said I didn’t pass their security checks. I popped into a Barclays branch but the staff there didn’t seem to know anything about it. So, I called the number back from a payphone and found out it actually was a Barclays number, but they’d sent the message to me by accident. Apparently, my number is registered to someone else with Barclays. Completely confusing! The person I spoke to said they’d just remove me from their list. Honestly, what a mess!
