I reached out to the fraud squad at RBS for assistance.

Real credit card fraud helpline. Natwest blocked a few transactions on my card, saved me from losing close to £1000! One charge did go through but they sorted it out and gave me a refund. If you’re unsure, just ring the number on your card and they’ll provide this fraud contact for you.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from RBS Fraud Team saying my credit card was used suspiciously. After chatting for ages, he asked for my bank details, which I didn’t give. Then about 5 minutes later, another guy named Rashid rang me, telling me to call a certain number - which I ignored. WARNING, THIS IS A SCAM! Always ring the number on your card yourself and report these dodgy calls.

This was legit, RBS spotted some odd things going on with my card. But I didn’t ring the number from the voicemail, I just dialed the one on the back of my card. You should NEVER call the number in a message, always use the one printed on your card itself.

Got a call again from someone saying they’re from the M&S fraud dept. From what others have mentioned, this number is actually Natwest’s? Looks like the scammers keep swapping which bank they claim to be from to trick people.

Got a call from a withheld number, sounded dodgy at first but it ended up being the Natwest Fraud Team. They handle various firms so the automated message doesn’t mention Natwest directly. Apparently it’s linked to their Commercial Credit Card fraud department, and the phone number even appears on the RBS site under that team. Was a bit worried at first cos of the hidden caller ID and all, but turns out they were legit. They spotted two recent transactions on my card I didn’t make, so they cancelled it and sent me a new one. Pretty relieved actually.

It might look like Natwest calling, but they left a voicemail for someone else entirely. Don’t risk it, just ring the number on your card or pop into a local branch instead.

I'm a bit sceptical about this - they seemed to know everything about me.

Got a call from Natwest/RBS Fraud Team about some dodgy charges on my credit card. Was a bit wary so I rang them back using the number on the back of my card to check if it was legit. The guy I chatted to confirmed the number and said to use it if anything pops up again. Sorted out a new card real quick and got the fake transactions refunded without any hassle.

Sounds like a scam trying to steal card info, really sketchy call. I got a voicemail telling me to ring this number back, then it was just some automated voice asking for my credit card and security code. Definitely not legit.

This call was obviously a scam, they told me the last 4 digits of my credit card and said it was compromised, but I dont even bank with NatWest, even tho the numbers they said were right. My advice is to always hang up before ringing your bank or use another phone to call back. These scammers can keep the line open, so when you think you’re ringing your bank, you’re actually talking to them again and might end up giving your info. They try to sound convincing, but it’s all a trick to steal your details.

Natwest does a decent job tryin to stop credit card fraud, but sometimes things still slip through. They send texts and alerts pretty quick which helps a bit. Just gotta stay on top of your transactions and report any funny stuff straight away.

This number is a scam, they claim your card has been used without permission to trick you into giving bank info. Don’t call back on this number - always ring the bank using the contact details on the back of your card.

Yeah, this number is real - it's Natwest Fraud Prevention. Even tho the people there can be a bit slow and annoying, the call was genuine. I double checked by ringing the number on the back of my card.

This 08001615164 number claimed to be from Nat West’s card fraud team. We didn't share any details and they told us to ring the number on the card. Rang that number and everything was fine. They had called us on both our landline and mobile.

I got a call from someone claiming to be the Nat West Fraud team. They said they were trying to reach one of our company cardholders and asked her to ring back on this number. The thing is, their call didn’t show any caller ID. I looked up the number online and it seems legit.

Putting this down as safe. I saw what people said and assumed it was a scam, but turns out it was a legit call from Natwest’s fraud department. They were helping me to unblock my card. They mentioned fraudsters sometimes pretend to be them using their number. So, to be sure, just ring the number on your card if you get a call like that.

ive been getting calls about my amazon prime, some weird charges on my card, my internet getting cut off, and even threats about owing taxes. the first time it felt quite worrying, but after they keep trying the same trick over and over, i just end the call without giving it a second thought. i do worry tho that one day i might end a call thats actually important.

Received an automated call from 10 161 5164 saying my NatWest credit card was at risk - except I don’t even have one! They told me to call back either on 0800 161 5164 or the number on my card for verification. I got in touch with my bank and they confirmed they never sent anything like that. Don’t fall for it, this is definitely a scam!
