3 yearsPurporting to be from HSBC, this number called me. I suggest you hang up and reach out to your bank directly instead.HSBC4 yearsI received a phone call from someone purporting to be from Barclaycard's Fraud Protection team. They began by questioning me about a transaction linked to a COVID Test, which I later discovered was a scam. They wanted to know the website address associated with the dodgy transaction and mentioned a spate of scams happening lately. Subsequently, they sent me a text with a verification code but then requested that I confirm the code back to them. This struck me as quite odd, so I pressed for clarification on their identity and asked if I could return the call. Surprisingly, they cut off the line.BarclaycardFraud Protection4 years08001510901 - AVOID THIS NUMBER AT ALL COSTS, IT'S A CON! Received a text supposedly from Barclaycard stating that my card had been frozen over dubious dealings, claiming that a fraud representative would reach out shortly. Utter nonsense! Don't bite, folks!Barclaycard5 yearsSeems rather believable, but they inquired about the account number, which is something Barclays would never request. It was quite authentic, though; they were aware of my birth date, my mother's maiden surname, and the like.Barclays5 yearsI received a call from this number, purporting to be the fraud team at Barclays, regarding an alleged compromise of my husband's account. After checking with Barclays, I've found out that they have no knowledge of such an issue at all. It's clearly a total scam!Barclays6 yearsThis number purports to be from Barclaycard, but it’s clearly a scam! They seem to have an alarming amount of personal details and are pressuring you to confirm a payment via a text message. They will assure you that by giving your approval, they can easily reverse it and cancel it, but it’s all a ruse. It’s incredibly dodgy and they’re awfully hesitant to provide any solid information, plus it’s just a single digit away from Barclaycard's legitimate contact number! Be very wary!BarclaycardSubmit Your Own Report (0800 151 0901)
