This number rings us quite often, always trying to pitch insurance for our household gadgets. I reckon they might swap numbers too. The odd thing was when my partner asked them which place they were calling from, they said the town we lived in before! As soon as we mentioned we were familiar with the area, they hung up sharpish.

Got a call from an Indian woman looking for my dad. When I said he wasn’t here, she went on to give me my own address and kept asking for my name and birthday. Then she started talking about a warranty for my washing machine and TV. Pretty clear it was a scam, especially when she tried to get my bank info.

These scammers are such a pain, calling me about my fridge and washing machine insurance at least 10 times over a fortnight. They always claim to be from some insurance company, but when I ask for the brand and model, their answers never match up. I’ve tried being polite, telling them I rent my appliances and all repairs are already sorted, but they just keep ringing. What’s mad is that my number’s unlisted and I’m signed up with the TPS - guess BT must be selling off blocks of private numbers or something.
