Just got called AGAIN from this damn NUMBER!! When you pick up all you get is some rubbish music!! The bloke I spoke with said it was a follow up about the loft insulation that was installed free by the council, along with a free energy efficiency check. I asked, “So this isn't a sales call, just a follow up from the council’s insulation job?” and he said, “Yes.” I went ahead and booked a visit. Later, I got another call to confirm, and that’s when the guy mentioned they’d actually be giving me a quote for new windows! Bit sneaky if you ask me.

Received a phone call earlier; it began with some odd music, followed by a rather abrupt voice claiming they were on a mission to check my windows. When I mused whether this was some mandatory government initiative, the tone shifted dramatically, and she became quite irate, asserting that every residence in my neighbourhood was under scrutiny. I proposed she contact my husband instead, at which point her irritation escalated further. I firmly advised her to cease any further attempts to reach me. I attempted to call the number back, but lo and behold, I was greeted with a message indicating a fault. That number has now been added to my block list!

Was trying to confirm my address (which he already knew) and said I could get a free window check since mine are over 10 years old. If you’re fed up with getting annoying cold calls from muppets like this, there are ways to deal with it depending on your phone provider. For instance, TalkTalk offer a service called CallSafe, while BT have their own version called Call Protect that apparently blocks around 30 million nuisance calls every year. PlusNet also use the name Call Protect for theirs. Sky have something similar named Talk Shield as well.

Checked on Companies House and Company No 09296134 (Energy Glass) actually got dissolved on 16th Jan 2018. They also go by a few other names like Energy Care or Energy Saver but it's all the same firm. Best to avoid them completely.

Received a phone call from a woman with a distinctly English accent asking, "Is this Mrs. Simpson?" I responded with a simple "No," and she promptly hung up. Just to clarify, I’m not Mrs. Simpson at all. I’ve previously had calls from men with strong Pakistani accents, also inquiring about Mrs. Simpson. Their phone numbers were 01143190622 and 01143190629. The most recent chap claimed to be called Peter Wilson. When I pressed him for his actual name, he stuck to his story. I jestingly suggested it could be Mohammed. He then asked me to hop on my computer. I told him outright that he was nothing but a scammer and to get lost (let’s just say I used some colourful language).

Proper funny this one. Got a call from this number earlier and as soon as I picked up, it played some hold music for a couple of seconds then suddenly the mic switched on. I waited a bit and said 'hello?' but nobody replied, just that usual background noise like a call centre.
