Got calls from this number about 9 times yesterday between 12:04 and 9:37 pm. I don’t even have a Santander account, so why all the persistent calls? Bit daft if you ask me.

We have a card with Santander and rang them to see if anything was wrong with it. They said everything seemed alright. The person on the phone mentioned that the number might just be for marketing because several departments from the bank use the same one, not only fraud prevention.

The pre-recorded message urged me to call back immediately using a four-digit code. The strange part is, these calls were actually meant for the previous occupant of the house, who moved out in 2003!

I tried calling back and an automated message asked me for some kind of code I didn’t have. Honestly, it’s a bit pointless if they’re going to call without saying anything. If they wanna reach me, they should just speak up.

I got three calls on my mobile and one on my home phone, but I decided not to answer any of them. The landline even left a message asking me to call back and provide a code. Naturally, I looked it up online to find out who was trying to get in touch. I also shot an email to Santander to let them know about the call, and thankfully, my account is all in order. I completely concur with what someone else mentioned about needing a space to report these scam occurrences. It's about time something like that was put in place!

I've had a right nuisance with four calls to my landline! An automated voice informed me of some supposed fraudulent activity linked to someone I know. Curious, I checked my Santander account, but there was no message from them in sight. What's more, my home number isn't even registered as a contact method with the bank. They insisted I should mention '849' as some sort of security number! It's rather astonishing that Santander doesn't have a dedicated helpline or service for instances like this. To be safe, I went ahead and emailed them about it.

Upon closer inspection, I noticed the message originated from +44 7860020554. I attempted to ring that number back, but no one picked up. I’m convinced this is a scam!

I got a call from Santander right after I sent some money, which really threw me off at first. They wanted me to get in touch with the company I paid to make sure the sort code and account details were right, since I’d got them through email and it might’ve been hacked or something. Honestly, they handled it well and were pretty chill about my worries. Fair play to Santander for looking out like that.

13/05/16: After I completed a bank transfer, I got a rather suspicious text from 07860020554. It requested that I ring 08000988275 to verify some activity on my bank account. I've never encountered anything like this before! Naturally, I decided to look both numbers up on Google given my concerns... Turns out, this is definitely not from Santander!
