This number rang me twice claiming to be UPS telling me I had a package. I hadn’t ordered anything, especially not from overseas, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. The number might look real but the people answering definitely aren’t legit. Watch out, it’s dodgy!

Got a voicemail from this number today saying they were from UPS and needed my info about customs charges on packages from a German company I actually bought from. But I got those packages over a month ago and even signed for them with UPS. If there were any fees to pay, they’d have asked me before dropping them off and wouldn’t have handed the parcels over without sorting them first.

Got a call from 0800 098 8225, it was a genuine UPS inquiry about customs paperwork for a parcel I was waiting on from the States. They checked if I was the one expecting the delivery, which I said yes to. Only asked for my email to send the customs form, no other personal info. Totally legit, not a scam.

Got a call from 08000988255 saying they had a delivery at UPS for a parcel from a firm I was waiting on. The lady was pretty eager to get my email, but since I’d already got the one parcel from that company yesterday, I decided to check the number just in case. When I told them I’d do a lookup, they just hung up. Feels like a scam to me, but I’m really curious how they knew which company had sent the parcel? Surely there’s some kind of UPS data leak going on?

I got a call from this number (0800 098 8225) and there was a woman asking about some delivery. I was confused since I didn’t order anything from overseas. She went on to list items supposedly linked to my order and asked for my email to send the invoice. I gave her my email but now I’m worried if I just got scammed or not.

I phoned UPS on 03457 877 877 to check this out. I explained the problem and they asked for a tracking number, which I didn’t have because I have loads of Christmas orders and I’m not sure what this parcel is. I simply asked the representative to confirm if that number was an official UPS contact. She checked with her manager, who confirmed it’s a scam and advised me to report it to [email protected]. So don’t trust the other comments here claiming it’s legit!

They said they're from UPS but I honestly can't make out what they're saying. They left a voicemail wanting my info about some invoice or something, but I don’t have any dealings with UPS at the moment. I’d give more details if I could, but their calls and voicemail are just too confusing to figure out what they want.

Definitely a scam, asking for my personal info to supposedly deliver a parcel that was actually dropped off more than a month ago.

They claimed they were from UPS and even gave me a tracking number that looked real. But when I checked with UPS using the official number, it didn’t match up. Then they asked for my email, which they should have already had from the tracking info. After that, I got a dodgy phishing email. Really wish I was more alert and didn’t waste any time on them.

Got a call from this number saying they were from UPS. Left a voicemail, but honestly it was really hard to make out what they said. They gave me a tracking code, but when I checked it, it wasn’t valid. Asked for my email, but I never caught where exactly they wanted it sent. Pretty sure it’s a dodgy call. When I looked it up online, it showed up as "SBS Software Development".

I received a call from a number that purported to be from UPS. They left a voicemail that was quite muddled, making it rather challenging to grasp. They provided a tracking number, but upon checking, it appears to be bogus. They also requested my email address, although I couldn't quite figure out where I was meant to send it. At this stage, I'm leaning towards thinking it’s a scam.

This number actually belongs to UPS, so it’s not a scam by itself. The negative reviews here are kinda misleading. They usually call about issues with overseas deliveries. Like others have said, be really cautious about sharing info with someone who rings out of the blue. Honestly, don’t share anything. While this number is legit, sometimes scammers pretend to be from it.

It wasn’t a scam call, it was actually from UPS. They were just checking about a parcel I got from overseas. Definitly not a scam. It was actually UPS calling. My phone marked it as a possible spam call, which 0800 numbers often are, so I just ignored it and looked it up here. Seeing others mention UPS, I then rang their official customer support straight away and got through to the customs team. They told me they tried contacting me but I missed the call. I’d bought something from abroad that first was with another courier (Yamato Transport), but at some point UPS took over the delivery.

This time it was UPS who got in touch, then sent a proper email when I asked since I don’t really do phone questions. The person had a pretty strong accent, so it was a bit tricky to catch everything. Still, the question was real, about an actual customs import. It’s always wise to be cautious though, a real caller won’t have a problem with you checking who they are first.

This is UPS calling, definitely not a scam. Loads of folks are gonna risk their parcels being returned if they follow what’s suggested here. They ring only when they need a bit more info for customs clearance. I just had to tell them the parcel was a gift between private people, no sensitive info given. I’m quite sure just hearing an Indian accent doesn’t mean it’s a scam straight away, and since covid, background noise in calls is pretty common. Like I said, this is UPS, not a scam.

08000988225 - Got a strange voicemail from a woman with an Indian accent, saying she was from UPS and asking me to leave my name and date of birth for some sort of customs clearance on an international parcel. But surely UPS would already have my details, especially since I regularly get deliveries from them and they never ask for personal info like that. Honestly, this sounds like a scam to me. Best just to ignore it.

Got a call today and they left a message, but honestly it was impossible to make out what they were saying, like a few others have pointed out. Some say it’s about customs info, but that’s just rubbish - customs wouldn’t hold a package just because they need details from you. I’ve blocked these lot already. No idea what scam they’re running, and frankly I don’t want to know. Never hand over your details to these people!!!

This time, someone called saying his name was Raphael, talking about a parcel coming from Germany. When I asked for the sender’s address and where it was being sent, he was pretty vague. He had parts of the company address, but I wasn’t about to give any info out. If it’s legit, UPS would already have our email details. And if it’s really important, why not send a letter? The caller was polite enough, so no complaints there - just a bit annoyed as I was swamped and didn’t want the bother.

Got a call from 08000988225 claiming to be from SBS Software Co. Seriously?! The person wanted my email, even though UPS, the delivery firm, already had it and had been updating me about the delivery dates. The caller spoke with a strong Indian/Pakistani accent and there was a baby crying in the background. Definitely a scam. Looks like they got my package details from UPS and were trying to get my email to rip me off with some customs fee. UPS really needs to look into this.

Got a call on my work line, which I don’t use for any personal orders. The caller said they were from UPS about some delivery charges for a parcel. They wanted my email so they could send more info, but when I asked who the sender was and where from, they mentioned a UK fashion brand I’d never heard of. When I questioned why there’d be delivery fees if the company’s UK-based, they couldn’t respond. I told them to reach out to the ‘nonexistent’ company if they wanted my info, then they just hung up.

We answered this call, and it actually is a real UPS number. They were asking for our email to sort out a delivery we’re waiting on from Europe because some customs details were missing. Still, the whole thing felt a bit fishy, the woman speaking had a strong foreign accent and it was hard to catch what she was saying. Plus, when I checked the number, it showed up as belonging to some software dev business.

Turns out it’s UPS. Not sure why the number looked so odd on my phone. Apparently customs had to get some details about what was inside the package before they’d let it through! I was a bit iffy at first ‘cos of all the bad reviews, so I just let the call go the first time. Later checked the tracking and it showed my parcel was being held up.

I went through the same thing - they were asking for payment for a parcel I supposedly ordered and was being held back. But the parcel had already been dispatched a couple of weeks before! Yeah, its really UPS calling even though they ring me super early like 5 or 6 in the morning. I answered a call at that time once and all I could hear was a lot of background noise from what sounded like a call centre, but no one spoke back. A bloke said he was from UPS but couldn’t provide any details about anyone living here. He claimed he needed payment for a package supposedly delivered recently. His English was pretty hard to follow and the phone line kept breaking up. I’m quite sure this was a scam.

They said they were calling from UPS - but the call quality was really poor. They seemed to know about a parcel I had sent recently. I looked up the tracking number myself, but it didn’t show as much info as they did. They even knew what was inside the package since it was labelled on the box, and who the recipient was. Feels like they had access to some kind of private info.

They keep calling me multiple times and leave a voicemail saying they’re from Brexit and need my email to sort customs for a parcel they supposedly have waiting. They ring loads in a short time and it’s been going on for more than a week nonstop.

This number rang me at 5 in the morning, so I just blocked it.

Got calls back to back within 5 minutes from two separate folks. Definitely feels like a scam to me, but somehow they’re pulling legit sounding data from UPS... they must have some solid insider hookup.

Got a call at 5.55 in the morning when I was still dead to the world, then they rang twice more about 8.40 while I was sorting school runs. The caller ID showed C3 Software, and there was a voicemail from someone called Mary claiming to be from UPS about a parcel supposedly delivered. They left a number to ring back, but I’m certain this is a scam, no doubt about it.

Got a call from someone named "Christian" with a really thick Indian accent, sounded like a call centre with loads of noise in the background. He was asking if I had commercial invoices and payment details for a parcel that supposedly hadn’t cleared customs, saying I only had a few days before it’d be destroyed and I’d be arrested. Thing is, the parcel was delivered like a month ago by now. Told him that and he got pretty annoyed with me. This was the third time I’d been rung from that number.

Total scam. Some woman rang me up askin’ for my email, which I didn’t give her. She said she had an order number for a parcel from the Netherlands, but I got that package ages ago. Told her to jog on.

Got a call from someone pretending to be UPS. They wanted my e-mail to 'clear customs' on a parcel that arrived ages ago. Pretty sure UPS already has my e-mail since they always send me updates through it. Total scam, be careful!

Classic parcel scam again. You’d think by now everyone’s caught on to this one, but nope, still going strong it seems.

they rang but when I picked up I just hung up straight away without saying a word

He asked me for my email, said he’d send a form to fill out for a package coming from Netherlands. Problem is, we never get packages from there.

Got a call at 6 in the morning, proper woke me up. Didn't know the number so I just let it ring out to voicemail like I normally do. The message said something about a parcel, but I ain't waiting for anything. Sounds really sketchy to me. Seems like one of those data collecting scams. Just gave it a miss.

Got calls really early two days running. They even left a message with a tracking code for a package I already got. Sounds dodgy to me, like those other people said, probably a scam and they’ve got some info on us.

This is definitely a scam pretending to be UPS. They mentioned what was in my package, which freaked me out, but after looking into it, it turned out to be fake.

Got a call and a voicemail saying they were from UPS with details about a parcel I was expecting. I already have a UPS account and get all my updates via email, so it felt a bit off. The package arrived without me replying to their message, so I’m certain it was a scam. Pretty concerning since they even knew the full tracking number they mentioned.

It was UPS calling. The voice came through really poor like it was from some overseas call centre. But the woman I chatted with gave me the name of the company I was expecting a parcel from, so I thought the call might actually be real. She asked for my email, sent over the shipping paperwork, and then requested a bit more info for customs, which makes sense given how strict things are after Brexit.

They seemed to know quite a bit about my parcel from UPS, though some of the info was off. They didn’t have my email either, which made it clear to me it’s a scam. Looks like they just want to get more details or maybe make you pay fake customs fees. If you ever have genuine customs charges, you’ll get a proper letter in the post.

Got a call but didn’t pick up, no voicemail either. Pretty sure it was just a robodialer or a scam attempt.

Big companies like UPS can be a complete mess sometimes and fire off demands all over the place. The stress ends up falling on the customers, the staff, and the poor call centres. After spending ages trying to fix some error with helpful people on the other end, it’s really hard not to think it’s a scam. But chatting with others who’ve gone through the same thing makes it clear it’s just the company in chaos. It’s always the people who suffer, not the huge firm behind it. Really sorry if I left that exhausting process and somehow caused trouble for some decent folks.

Totally a scam. Missed their call and they left a message saying they were UPS, but their accent was a dead giveaway - sounded like one of those call centres from India. I’m not expecting any packages from UPS, and I’ve never ordered anything from that company they mentioned either.

A lady said it was from UPS about a parcel. I knew my hubby was waiting for a delivery but only realised it was a scam after hanging up. How do they even get this info? I looked up the number here right away.

It's probably UPS, they usually call when you've got an international package and need to confirm if customs duty is needed.

Got a call saying my parcel was stuck at customs, and they knew loads about me, like where the package was from and going. Thing is, I’d already got it days ago. When I questioned her, she got nervous and said “We just need your email address, ma’am.” Total scam.

This is really concerning. I also got a genuine package from UPS but it was delivered several days before the call came through. They had my correct name and phone number. Seems like UPS might have been compromised and personal info leaked. Don’t share any info with anyone calling from this number!

Dont trust this number! Got a call from them earlier today and they left a voicemail saying I needed to call them about a UPS parcel stuck at a depot with an £18 daily fee. They even mentioned my exact parcel number, but I had already got my delivery that morning, so it was obviously a scam!!

Definitely a scam number! Got a call from this number earlier today and they left a voicemail asking me to call back about a UPS parcel supposedly stuck at a depot with a daily fee of £18. They even mentioned my exact parcel info, but I already got my parcel that same morning, so there’s no way it was genuine!
