Just got a letter from these lot today, my IVA ended more than a year ago so they really shouldn’t still have my info since it’s been wiped from the credit bureau. Seen loads about this on Martin Lewis’s site too, honestly, feels like a proper scam!!!

Funny thing, I almost gave this number a ring... Got a letter claiming some high court decision means I could get money back from my IVA. I was about to call since it’s a free number, but then it hit me - I moved 7 months ago and my IVA details are at my old place! Plus, they ask for a reference that isn’t even on the letter. I shared info about businesses operating from that address, and their dispute with the IVA might be connected to a current legal case involving an IVA supervisor who allegedly took money even after the completion certificate was given. Have a look at the address - they don’t even mention CIO anywhere. The first two companies list SIC Code 1 as 78109, which is “Other activities of employment placement agencies”, but the third one has no category at all? None of it makes sense. The address is: 13TH FLOOR CITY TOWER, PICCADILLY PLAZA, MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, M1 4BT. There are three firms registered there: AUBURN ROSE LIMITED (Active), FOUNDATION RECRUITMENT UK LTD (Active), and ZHUOSNOWY LTD (Active). Something feels off about this setup.

Did some digging about this company online after they sent me a letter saying they were from some consumer info office. They wanted me to sign up for a no win no fee deal over the phone. I asked if they could send something in writing but they wouldn’t, insisted it had to be done by phone only. Said I needed to think it over, then started looking them up properly. I got a letter like the one mentioned here from the Consumer Information Office (CIO). It said something like, "We’re writing because you might be entitled to a refund related to some legal fee you paid before, following a high court decision. It’s a bit tricky to explain over a letter, so please ring us up for more details." The letter included a freephone number 0800 098 7926 to call. But honestly, the way it’s worded seems off - I’m no language expert but it felt odd. Plus, like someone said in another comment, the opening hours were incorrect. There was no actual name signed at the bottom either. The website address they gave didn’t match the company name, and the address listed was for a firm called BESPOKE RETAINMENT LIMITED from 2016. Something about it just feels fishy to me.

Got a letter a while back saying we might be owed money from some past legal case because of a recent High Court decision. They said it’s a bit tricky to explain everything in the letter and asked us to call a certain number. Thing is, we never had any legal trouble before.
