Received some correspondence from them today, but it's been more than a year since my IVA concluded, so they shouldn't even have my information anymore as it's no longer on my credit report. I've seen similar warnings about them all over Martin Lewis’ site-complete scammers!

I recently got a letter from this firm and decided to give them a ring, but they just insisted that I leave a voicemail. It’s left me feeling quite anxious since they have my phone number now. Any advice on what steps I should take next?

I reckon that was likely some sort of scammer; I’ve chucked mine in the bin!

How fascinating! I almost made a call to this number myself. I received a letter indicating that, following a high court decision, I might be eligible for a refund on charges from my IVA. I had the phone poised to dial, especially since it’s a free number! Then it dawned on me that I moved seven months ago, and my IVA is linked to my old address! To top it off, the letter mentions a reference I’m supposed to use, but lo and behold, it's nowhere to be found! This has all the hallmarks of a scam, without a doubt!

This morning, my partner got a letter from this lot. I’m so grateful I decided to investigate before picking up the phone. Cheers for the info!

I've only just gotten a letter from this outfit, and I'll tell you now, I won’t be giving them a bell! The letter is in tatters and straight into the rubbish it went - total scam, utter nonsense!

I recently shared some insights regarding the firms located at that address. It seems their allegations concerning the IVA could very well tie into the current legal proceedings involving the IVA supervisor, particularly in relation to funds being withdrawn after a completion certificate was issued. Unsurprisingly, the IVA companies are in a fierce battle over this matter, as the stakes could be in the millions. For those interested, here’s a link to the ongoing court case that sheds more light on the issue.

Take a look at the address; there’s no indication of a Chief Information Officer here. The first two entries fall under the industry classification SIC Code 1: 78109 - which pertains to other types of employment placement agencies, while the third one seems to lack any categorisation altogether? It all seems rather odd.

Is this number associated with a reputable business or is it a dodgy operation?

There doesn't seem to be any business listed at that location.

I've received this letter on two occasions now. Unless someone can provide me with solid proof of its authenticity, I shan't be making any phone calls.

Today, I stumbled upon one of their letters and thought I’d better have a gander online. After perusing the feedback from others on this site, I've made up my mind to shred the letter and toss it in the rubbish. Absolutely no intention of reaching out to them!

I got a letter that was riddled with errors, starting off by misspelling my name. It appears there's no legitimate website to be found. I think I’ll steer clear of this rather suspect situation!

I did a bit of digging into this firm after they sent me a letter claiming to be a consumer information office. They were trying to lure me into a no win, no fee agreement. When I requested something in writing to review, they flat out refused and insisted it could only be discussed over the phone. I mentioned I needed time to mull it over, which prompted me to do some further investigation. It’s become abundantly clear that this is a scam. I'm quite anxious about the sensitive info they may have on me. :(

I haven't received a call, only a letter. We've gone through an IVA and feel rather let down by the company we engaged, so I might ring them. However, I'm not foolish enough to part with any personal information.

I’m writing to discuss the refund of payments following my recent IVA settlement. I believe I’m entitled to reclaim some charges that have been debited. Can you provide guidance on how to proceed with this matter? Thank you.

Today, I got a letter that looked startlingly similar to those others people have been discussing. I found it rather suspicious, so I decided to have a gander at the website mentioned in the correspondence. To my surprise, it turns out the site is non-existent! Furthermore, I was a tad unsettled by the absence of a name beneath the signature, not to mention the sloppy mistakes within the letter itself. There's no way I'm getting in touch with them; it absolutely reeks of a scam to me!

I received a rather puzzling letter today, suggesting they’ve uncovered that we might be owed some reimbursement for payments we made ages ago regarding an old legal matter, thanks to a recent decision from the High Court. Honestly, it’s quite a tangled situation to articulate in written form, and they’ve requested a phone call to discuss it. The curious part is, we’ve never actually been involved in any legal troubles! Furthermore, there was also a clerical error in the letter, listing two different opening times for Fridays. Quite the mix-up, I must say!

I got a letter through my door today, and to be honest, after scanning through the other reviews, I won't be bothering to give them a call.

I recently got a letter stating that I’m apparently entitled to some funds from a 'previous legal matter' that was resolved ages ago. The correspondence goes on to say that the situation is too complex to be detailed in writing and insists that I call them for further information. They mention it’s linked to a recent High Court decision. I've checked out the Consumer Information Office online, but honestly, it’s not very comforting and the details are rather sketchy. It all feels a bit dodgy to me, so I've decided not to engage with them.

Received a letter in the post today regarding this number, and I’m struggling to find any positive information about the company online. All I’ve come across are negative remarks, so I definitely won't be making any calls.

Absolutely a dodgy operation! I suggest you just ignore it and put that number on your blocked list.

I just gave them a bell today and it turns out they're a company dedicated to reimbursing individuals who have gone through an IVA. If you've received one of those letters and have previously been involved in an IVA, it might be worth giving them a call. You could potentially be entitled to reclaim some of your payments!

I got a letter today regarding this, but I couldn't locate any information online about it. It’s likely a scam, if you ask me.

Have you ever tried getting in touch with them? I got a letter from them not too long ago, but after perusing the comments here, it's safe to say I won't be giving them a bell. I’ve just wrapped up a legal matter in my favour, and this correspondence definitely strikes me as dodgy.

I too got a similar letter and took to the web for answers, but found absolutely nothing. I'm definitely steering clear of making any calls!

Received a letter today from the CIO referenced above, and it raised a few red flags for me. Decided to do a bit of digging online, and I'm certainly pleased I took that step. After perusing the comments, it appears to be a bit dodgy, probably linked to that phone number. I definitely won’t be making that call... just a word of advice to everyone out there: steer clear!

I've received a letter and I've tried to get in touch or find any details about it, but it's all rather elusive. Might it be a scam?

I dispatched a letter to them yesterday and plan to ring the toll-free number, but I can't shake the feeling that it might be a con.

I’ve just received a correspondence stating that owing to a recent ruling from the High Court, I’m eligible for a refund of charges I settled earlier concerning a resolved legal matter. The situation is rather intricate and would benefit from a discussion. Please do get in touch with us on 08000987926.

I recently got a letter that clearly has all the hallmarks of a scam. I couldn't find any information about it online, nor does it seem to be associated with anyone at City Tower in Manchester. Just a heads-up to everyone to stay vigilant!

I got a rather suspicious letter urging me to ring about some cash that might be due to me. I had a butchers at www.consumerinformationoffice.co.uk, but it didn’t yield any results. I even looked up the address mentioned, City Tower, 13th floor, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BT, but came up empty-handed. Seems a bit dodgy, if you ask me!
