Got a message saying I need to pay for the energy I’ve used. They told me to either ring them on 0800 090 3947 or check out this link [#Jasys.io/Sp6cu]. Seems dodgy though, I found this number flagged loads of times online. Be careful with it!

I’m at my wit's end with this infuriating notification. No matter how many times I try shutting it down through Task Manager or closing Google, the moment I launch Microsoft Edge, that pesky message resurfaces right away, and the whole thing just locks up. Is there any way to get rid of this annoying alert and the constant beeping for good?

Got a warning popping up claiming to be from Microsoft after my TalkTalk router flashed an alert. It said my system was hacked and wanted my info. Ran a full scan but it didn't find any viruses or malware. Still, the message won’t disappear from the screen no matter what I do.

So, I was just browsing on Yahoo and clicked a link by mistake, and it popped up saying it was some kind of illegal adult site. Next thing I know, it seemed like it got into my accounts, even my bank details. I found this blog that recommended pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del and using Task Manager to close everything down. Fingers crossed, my PC seems fine now. I also ran a scan and it didn’t find any viruses, so hopefully all good!

Got a message saying it was from Microsoft, but it looked dodgy so I just turned my PC off to stop it. I did report the number and message on the real Microsoft website, but haven’t had any response so far.

I encountered a rather alarming message on my computer, claiming that it had been secured by either Microsoft or Google due to suspicious activities. It instructed me not to power off or restart, but rather to ring a given number. Naturally, my machine was effectively frozen, and the warning wouldn’t budge, leaving me unable to reboot. Solution: By pressing CTRL, ALT, and DELETE at the same time, you can access the Windows Task Manager. Once there, navigate to 'Processes', where you should see the browser you were using-be it Google or Mozilla. Select it and hit 'End Task', which should terminate the browser and restore normal functionality. Please share your thoughts if this solution worked for you!

I encountered a rather alarming situation where a message popped up on my laptop claiming it had been locked by either Microsoft or Google due to suspicious activity. It was rather insistent about not shutting down or rebooting the machine, and urged me to call a specific number. My screen was completely bogged down by the warning, leaving me unable to close it or restart my device.

Here's the solution I found: if you simultaneously press CTRL, ALT, and Delete, you’ll access the Windows Task Manager. Navigate to the 'Processes' tab, look for the browser-be it Google or Firefox-and select it. Then, simply hit 'End Task' which will shut down the browser and restore your computer to its usual state.

If this worked for you, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I got a popup saying my PC was locked by Microsoft or Google because of some suspicious activity. It told me not to turn it off or restart, and to ring a certain number instead. My computer froze, and I couldn’t get rid of the message or reboot normally. What worked for me was pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete to bring up the task manager. Then, under ‘processes’, I found the Google or Mozilla browser process, selected it, and hit ‘end task’. That closed the browser and everything went back to normal. Let me know if this tip worked for you too!

While I was browsing my banking website, I received a rather suspicious message on my computer, prompting me to give them a call. They insisted I download some software, and luckily, I had the good sense not to go through with it. Initially, they were demanding £100 to 'fix' the supposed issue, but then they lowered it to a more tempting £25. Honestly, the message keeps reappearing, and I'm at a loss on how to eliminate it. Thanks to you lovely folks and several other websites, I’ve come to realise that this is a complete scam. Much appreciated!

Beware of this number! It’s linked to dodgy PC jamming pop-up scams. I urge you to steer clear and definitely don’t ring them back-it's definitely not a legit technician from Microsoft, despite what they may say.
