Some guy rang saying he was from 'Utility Discounts' and said he could help lower my energy bills. When I asked for his name, he just ended the call. Then I got a recorded message a bit later saying he’d called and to phone them back. I just hung up and have no intention of calling back.

I get like 3 calls every day and I've blocked everyone that's not in my contacts, so unknown numbers get blocked straight away. Good thing too. To anyone saying just answer them, or they’re no big deal - they actually are a pain. Proper harassment. This number is linked to an insurance agent named Utility Discounts. I tried to get a quote by clicking one of their links but my info vanished from the screen halfway through. I emailed them six times over several days but got no reply. Then, out of nowhere, they sent me a letter saying I’m signed up with Green Star and locked into a contract. I had to spend ages on the phone with Green Star and my current supplier just to sort out the confusion they caused. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THESE FOLKS.

I switched to Green Star and ended up saving £349 over the year. Yeah, they might ring a bit often, but honestly, they helped me loads! Worth giving them a go - I did and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made recently, haha!
