It's EDF Energy that seems to be reaching out. This should benefit everyone who received a call on their mobile, especially when they let it ring without picking up. Subsequently, you can return the call after dialling 141 first.

I've just received a call from this number. We're in the midst of leaving EDF ourselves, primarily because they bombarded us with sales calls right after we made it clear we weren’t interested. There's no chance we'll ever consider EDF again, and this type of behaviour certainly won't change our minds!

Similar to what others have mentioned, although we haven't exactly been customers of EDF ourselves, we did switch away from them shortly after moving into a rented flat where EDF had been supplying the previous tenant. We managed to get the first bill sorted with our new supplier fairly quickly.
