Just got a dodgy text claiming there's been a “suspicious transaction” on my Santander account, and it’s supposedly from their fraud protection squad. It’s a total scam, no doubt about it!

Got a text supposedly from "SANTANDER ALERT" telling me to ring their fraud dept about a dodgy payment being held. Thing is, I don’t even have a Santander account and the phone number they gave doesn’t line up with the fraud contact info you find on their official site. Feels like a total scam to me! Best to avoid calling that number completely.

got a text from some number saying i needed to ring their freephone about a bank thing, claiming they were from the fraud department. sounded dodgy to me so i just ignored it.

Just got a text from this number saying there was some fraud on my account. Pretty sure it’s a scam, definitely one of those dodgy numbers looking to catch folks out.
