So, I got a couple of calls, one this morning and another a few days back, both sounding pretty much the same. The first time, the bloke claimed to be Daniel Brook from pec6 and said his place was 25 High Street, Wimbledon. When I looked up the number 1471, it showed 0233 333332. Turns out 25 High Street in Wimbledon is actually a restaurant. Today's call was from someone saying he worked at the 'Microsoft Department'. He gave me a website, www.pefixed.net, and a freephone number 0800 0488447, plus a lengthy code which he said was my computer's registration. He asked me to open my programmes, which I refused to do. I mentioned I had several devices, and the one I was on was an Apple, not a PC. He didn’t say much after that and just hung up.

I got a call from someone named Robin who claimed folks were messing with my IP address. He tried to charge me 99 quid for some warranty or somethin’. Total scammers, honestly. He even had the nerve to say I could end up in jail! What a load of rubbish.

I just got a call from some bloke claiming he's with Microsoft, saying my computer was about to crash soon. He sounded like he was from India or Pakistan, said he was getting error alerts and I had to let him sort it out because it was supposedly messing up their servers. I had a right chuckle and told him he couldn’t expect me to buy that story, but he kept going anyway. When I said I'd ring Microsoft myself, he got a bit stroppy and insisted I should call the number he gave me. Of course, I ignored it and ended up Googling instead, which brought me here. These dodgy calls aren’t a one-off either, they’ve rang me before.

Got a phone call from a guy called Richard Brise, who sounded Asian and claimed to be from Microsoft. He said my Windows 7 Microsoft ID had been compromised and that my personal info was at risk. Then he asked if he could get access to my PC. I told him I’ve got eight machines, three running Windows 7, to which he replied they were all connected and said hackers had taken control of my internet. I mentioned the PCs were spread out in Inverness, Glasgow and Dumfries and asked for more details. Honestly, these lads are quite funny. I actually use an Apple with its own OS - no way we’re getting hacked!

yesterday i got a call from some pc repair people... my internet browser kept acting up and my computer kept freezing, it was driving me mad. i was about to give up on it but these guys sorted it out for me. not quite sure how they managed it but now everything runs smoothly. best part is, they charged me very little for the fix.

Got a call from some bloke called Alan Cooper who said he was from Microsoft. He told me my PC was sending error alerts and someone was attempting to hack in. He said he could fix it for me, but since Microsoft wouldn't have my number, I thought it was dodgy. So I told him I was busy and later looked up the number he gave me: 08000488447.

Been getting a ton of calls from what sound like foreigners claiming to be from Microsoft. Now they just tell me there’s some kind of server issue… as if! One guy called himself John something, said he was phoning from London - yeah right! I could hear other foreign voices in the background. Then he said he’s American! Haha, yeah sure. Didn’t take no for an answer even when I told him they’re scammers. The number was out of my area but he mentioned a company called PC Fix Corporation, number 0800 0488447. I checked their website, but it gave no indication of where they’re based and that number didn’t seem British at all. They’re seriously pushy!!!!

Just like a few others have said, I got a couple of persistent calls from some guy called Mr Alim from PCfixed. He kept telling me my server was flashing errors and my computer had issues that needed sorting. He offered to explain what the error messages meant and fix everything for me. On the second call, he dropped this number: 0800 048 8447. Cheers for the heads-up. I noticed some random glowing review about them online and also that PCfixed has a website, but I definitely won’t be trusting them or hiring their help...

Today I got a couple of calls from someone named Justin, claiming to be from Microsoft. He kept going on about fixing issues on my PC and kept pestering me to give him access. When I tried to refuse, he just kept chatting non-stop, so in the end I had no choice but to just hang up.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, saying they needed to fix my computer. Turns out it was a total scam! Don’t let them talk you into giving access to your machine - if you do, you’re basically inviting trouble and your computer could get all messed up. Stay safe and hang up straight away!

I've just had a dodgy call, and I strongly urge you to hang up immediately. Don’t let these scammers get a foothold on your device, otherwise you could end up compromised! It’s crucial to alert the e-crime unit at the Metropolitan Police about these nefarious folks. Stay vigilant and don’t fall for such trickery!

They just wont stop calling! I tried being really rude to them, but the guy just said he would keep calling over and over to annoy me. Does anyone know where their call centre is? I’m tempted to sort someone out face to face!

On 17th December, I got a call from some people claiming they needed me to switch on my computer to sort out some Microsoft errors. I told them I wasn’t really happy with that and preferred to try fixing the problems myself. Eventually, I had to tell them I was shutting down my computer and didn’t need any help. The bloke then started saying my PC was gonna crash in a few weeks - utter rubbish if you ask me.

Got another call from some Indian call centre. They claimed my computer was infected, just like last time. I just let the woman carry on talking, and eventually found out she was representing a company called PC FIXED. They apparently work in the UK, USA, and Australia. If you're curious, their number is 0800 0488447.

Do not bother calling back, it’s definitely a scam. Most likely it’s one of those expensive premium numbers that’ll charge you a lot if you pick up or call them. Best thing to do is just ignore it and eventually they’ll give up and stop pestering you. If it was someone legit trying to reach you, they wouldn’t hang up just to make you ring back. These are just greedy scammers trying to make a quick buck.

This number rang me earlier today, and I knew right off it was one of those typical calls. I decided to humour them a bit, but then I asked if they planned on sending a dodgy link that would mess up my laptop. I also told them I was a cop who handles fraud cases. Funny enough, the call just dropped after that.

I got in touch with them and decided to use their service, and honestly, they’re brilliant! They sorted out every issue my computer had, and now it’s running just like it was brand new.

Today, the number above gave me a ring. I told whoever it was that the connection wasn’t great and asked for their number so I could call them back. Of course, I never actually did. Now I’m wondering who I’m meant to report this kind of thing to? I heard the Met Police shut down some call centres back in 2010 - are they back in business again?

I've been getting calls from some folks claiming my computer has issues that only they can fix. They say they work for Windows and try to get me to open the RUN command to enter some new code. I'm not sure what to do about it - can anyone advise?
