I received a curious call from a mobile provider who wouldn’t share their name or any details. They insisted that I had entered into a mobile contract some time back, which has left me rather perplexed.

Got a call from a mobile provider claiming they'd got an email from me agreeing to a contract. They kept trying to fish out my real name, but I gave them another one instead. When I asked who they thought I was, they dodged the question and asked for my email too. Refusing to accept that I wasn’t interested, I had to rudely cut them off. Proper cheeky behaviour.

Got a call from this number around 10pm yesterday, I really don’t pick up my phone that late unless it’s something urgent from family. They’ve rung me a few times now at all sorts of odd hours, like early in the morning and way too late in the day. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it since it’s just too random and annoying.

So I spotted this number and messaged Carphone Warehouse about it. They said I could get a Samsung S20 FE for just £10 down, sounded like a good deal. But I never got any confirmation email, which made me suspicious. Didn’t want to take any risks, so I phoned my bank and cancelled my card straight away.

Even after blocking the number, they’ve managed to get through a few more times. It’s been about six calls in total this evening. Quite annoying, really.

I think it might be a scam. Someone else mentioned it was supposedly a computer tech asking for money to fix your internet online. The call came from what sounded like a call centre, but no message was left. Seems a bit dodgy to me.
