This number is totally dodgy. It kept ringing me on both my mobile and landline, but I ignored it every time. Then out of nowhere, I got texts claiming there was some fraud on my rarely used credit card! I rang NatWest’s fraud team straight away and they were brill, sorted it out, blocked my card and sent a new one. They confirmed that none of the supposed transactions in the messages appeared on my account. Even after that, this 0800 number kept trying to get through on both phones. Honestly, just don’t pick up if you see this number!

I decided to pop into my nearby NatWest branch and spoke with the Branch Manager who was really supportive. After checking with their Fraud Department, she told me they never made those calls. Be careful, this looks like a scam. I almost got caught out by one of their tricks back in December, and it would’ve set me back £9500! Nearly got stung, but dodged it just in time!
