They never asked for any personal details to confirm. They just went over a recent transaction that I recognised and mentioned some fraud attempts too. Then they repeated my home address and email to make sure they'd send a new card and info about the fraud. After the call, my iPhone told me my credit card got taken out of my Apple wallet, so they must’ve cancelled the old one. I'm pretty sure this was genuine.

It’s NatWest Credit Card fraud team here. Usually you get texts about the suspicious transactions then a follow up call, so this really seems legit. If it wasn’t, scammers would’ve probably already hacked your account, especially since they’re naming the transactions.

Initially, I received a call from a well-spoken young lady claiming to represent NatWest regarding my credit card. She requested some security information, but I decided to end the call right there. The next day, however, I was contacted again, this time by a rather abrasive-sounding woman who said she was from the fraud department at NatWest. Without hesitation, I hit the block button, and that number is now firmly in my blocked list. This all happened in Southampton back in July 23.

They were trying to reach me regarding a suspicious attempt on my card. I ended up hanging up and decided to ring back using the official number printed on my card. The lady I spoke with confirmed that they indeed had been trying to get in touch and had not only called me twice but also sent two text messages. If someone claims to be from your bank, just say, "Alright, I'll return the call using the number on my card." If it’s genuinely Natwest, they won’t have an issue with that.

Got a call saying it was NatWest credit card fraud team.
