So, I let them onto my PC at first, but then I got a funny feeling something was off. I quickly turned it off and disconnected the internet. Now I’m wondering if I’ll be able to use my computer normally again?

I received a call from this number, and they attempted to bill me while also requesting my name and Hotmail address, claiming they could assist me. However, the moment I mentioned I wasn't willing to fork out £199, they became quite irritable.

My computer got hit with that same "error message" everyone’s talking about here. They told me to ring this number, and honestly, I was tempted for a moment to do it. Luckily, I found this site before I made the call. Seriously, don’t bother calling that number.

At first, I believed the call was from Microsoft, so I called back and let them quickly look at my laptop. Then, I saw some warnings about this number on this site, so I immediately closed everything and switched off my computer. They tried calling me again right away, but I didn’t pick up. I only gave them my name, nothing more. I’m still shocked I almost got tricked like that.

I've just had a rather dismal experience with this number. Upon calling, I was met with endless hold music and no actual conversation. I took the liberty of running a few checks, and, to my relief, there were no issues detected. Seriously, don’t fall for this ruse. It's high time Microsoft took some action to resolve these shenanigans!

A notification popped up on my computer urging me to dial this number to protect my personal details. It had all the hallmarks of a genuine Microsoft communication, but when I rang them up, they wanted access to my machine! Fortunately, I had the sense to hold back from complying!

Avoid calling this number at all costs! My daughter got a strange message pop up on her laptop, so I decided to phone them. The bloke on the line was quite polite but wouldn’t say which company he was with. Then, he tried to get her bank account info, saying it was to keep her details safe! Really dodgy if you ask me.

Was browsing Ebay when suddenly a warning popped up saying "your bank info is at risk," and there was a voice recording too. Don’t ring that number, just shut the page straight away. Looks like some scam that sneaks in via Ebay, be careful!

Got a call saying my computer was full of risky stuff and they wanted £178 to fix it. I said no, but it shook me up quite a bit. At first, it seemed so real. They gave me a Freephone number on the screen, so I called it, and now my pay-as-you-go mobile, which only had about £8 on it, is completely drained. Feels like a rip-off. The bloke on the phone was a really polite and patient guy from India. I’m 76, not great with tech, so when that warning popped up telling me my PC would get disabled and my info was in danger, I got proper worried.

When I switched my PC on this morning, a warning popped up about adminsecurity.download spotting a hack try on my bank info, telling me to ring Microsoft on 0800 041 8255. What's confusing is that Microsoft Defender says my laptop's completely clean. How on earth did that alert show up then?

I recently received an alarming notification on my computer indicating a potential Microsoft system breach. It appeared to be a legitimate Microsoft alert at first glance. When I dialled the number provided, I found myself speaking to an individual with an Indian accent, who claimed to represent Microsoft. After some back and forth, he insisted that to resolve the issue, I would need to pay a network specialist. They even managed to gain remote access to my machine, which was quite unsettling. I ultimately decided to end the conversation because I needed more concrete proof that this was indeed a legitimate Microsoft representative. The caller became rather irate when I requested he relinquish control back to me before he abruptly disconnected. Following a restart of my computer, I faced multiple difficulties, but I was eventually able to restore my system to an earlier state from a few days back, much to my relief.

I called the number provided and was greeted by someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft.
