I got a call from this number saying they were from the fraud department at RBS. They told me there was suspicious activity on my credit card, but they’d already sorted a refund and sent me a new card. Seemed pretty legit to me.

I got a call from this number, turned out it was the Royal Bank of Scotland trying to sort out a payment issue with my card, which they'd frozen for security reasons. Just a heads up though, it's probably safer to ring the number on the back of your credit card instead of this 0800 one, just to be on the safe side.

I got a proper fraud alert from RBS about my credit card. I didn’t pick up their automated call, but I called RBS straight away to check what was going on. They’d spotted some odd activity on my account that was actually legitimate, and their security team had flagged it up.

Seems like a scam call, not the real RBS fraud dept cause they usually ring from another number.

Got a call from someone saying they were the fraud department at RBS. They wanted me to share my account details, but I knew it was dodgy so I rang the bank straight away. Turns out, there was no fraud at all. So, don’t ever hand over your info to these people!

Got a call from what said it was the RBS fraud dept, they had all my info and said there was some dodgy activity on my card. They told me my card had been blocked for safety and a replacement's coming soon. Bit worrying but at least they sorted it quick.

This number rang me but hung up as soon as I picked up. When I called it back, an automated voice claimed to be from Royal Bank of Scotland. I then rang the bank using a different official number and the person there said that number wasn’t listed for the bank at all. The guy actually thanked me for getting in touch. I wouldn't trust this number - better to double check with your bank if you get anything from it.

I received a call from this number, but it disconnected when I answered. When I called back, an automated message claimed it was from the Royal Bank of Scotland. However, when I contacted the bank using a different number, the person I spoke to couldn't find this specific number in their contact list. Interestingly, the person appreciated my initiative in reaching out. It is advisable not to trust this number. If you receive a call from it, it would be wise to verify with your bank before proceeding.

I received multiple phone calls from this number throughout the day and deliberately chose not to answer them. However, when I eventually checked the missed calls, I discovered that it was indeed a legitimate call from the fraud department of the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).

I received a voicemail from the "RBS Fraud Centre" requesting me to call back urgently. Instead of dialing the given number, I contacted the RBS website and used the recorded number from there. The RBS representative confirmed that they were indeed checking on several suspicious transactions, which resulted in them setting a limit for online transactions. This forced me to switch to a different account earlier today. Therefore, I can confirm that the number is genuinely from RBS. It would be more convenient if they used the same number in their messages as the one listed on their website.

I recently received a message from this particular number purporting to be the fraud department of RBS. However, when I called back, an automated message indicated that my phone number did not correspond to my account and requested me to input my phone number again, which I obviously did not do. Feeling concerned about the legitimacy of the situation and after discussing it with RBS without receiving any reassurances regarding how this could have occurred or whether the number was indeed authentic, I have come to the conclusion that the only secure course of action is to dial the confirmed RBS number stated on my bank card and then request to be connected to the fraud department.

I received a phone call on Saturday from a number informing me about possible fraud on my credit card. I was expecting my Asda delivery, but it didn't arrive 15 minutes past the scheduled time. When I contacted the credit card center, they informed me that not only had my order been cancelled, but my credit card as well. I tried calling the number twice but all I heard was music before the call got disconnected. I am extremely frustrated.

Scam Alert!A deceitful character phoned my ex-workplace (I left more than 5 years ago!) three days ago, requesting me to call up a certain number due to an alleged security problem with my NatWest account. However, I've never had a NatWest account in my life! I gave them a call the following day out of curiosity, only to be spun the same tale but this time about my RBS account. Worried, I took the matter into my own hands and contacted RBS directly using a different number. To my surprise, they didn't have any knowledge of the reported security issue or the phone number mentioned. This struck me as particularly unusual since the legitimate bank already has my home telephone number on record.

I have just verified the authenticity of the transaction with the bank, and they have confirmed the purchase amount as well as the legitimate retailer. The bank also provided me with the Fraud unit's 0800 telephone number. They mentioned that this kind of fraudulent activity is on the rise, particularly with certain popular goods and trends.

I received a recorded message from a caller who claimed to be from RBS and was checking on my account details. They asked me to verify my date of birth. Shortly before this call, I had tried to use a credit card online which was not accepted, even though I had entered the correct details. Initially, I was taken in by the call, thinking it was related to my recent unsuccessful card transaction. However, I quickly realized that the bank never asks for personal information and decided to hang up. This incident strongly suggests that it was a scammer attempting to deceive me.

Today at 9:30 am, I received a call concerning possible fraudulent activity on my RBS card. However, I became suspicious and decided to hang up. Taking caution, I subsequently used another phone to contact the RBS credit card service. Fortunately, when enquiring about my balance, everything appeared to be as it should be.

I recently received a phone call from this number, and the caller asked for personal information while claiming to be investigating credit card fraud. It made me suspicious, so I decided to check my account myself. There were some discrepancies that made me realize something was not right. As a precaution, I plan to contact my bank directly, as I believe the call was fake. Usually, banks would ask customers to come in person to discuss such matters.

I received a phone call from this particular number three weeks ago. After verifying that the number was not listed on the official RBS website and coming across this page, I concluded that it was a scam. Surprisingly, the following week, I received a letter from RBS instructing me to call the exact same number. Instead, I decided to call the official number provided by RBS. It turns out that there was indeed fraudulent activity on my account. When I asked a fraud consultant at RBS about the suspicious number, she couldn't find any information about it in their system. I can't help but wonder if the RBS fraud department is incompetent, or perhaps even compromised by fraudsters themselves? The only thing I can say for certain is that they made a big deal about verifying my identity before disclosing any information to me.

I made a call earlier today at around 2pm. The purpose of the call was regarding a suspected fraud on your RBS card, or rather, your NatWest card. Unfortunately, I had to leave a message as you were not available at the time. I attempted another call at 17:21.

This morning, I received a phone call claiming to be from RBS, supposedly regarding a credit card fraud. However, I confirm that my credit card balance is accurate. Additionally, it's worth noting that RBS does not contact customers over the phone, but rather through email. I suspect this may be a scam, therefore I have no intention of calling the number provided. If necessary, I can contact my branch for further verification.
