I got a call from someone claiming to be a tech help desk, asking me to let them get into my computer so they could “check the problem”. The number on my phone was 02476681616, and they told me to ring back on 0800 0314015 if I needed more help. I'm pretty sure they’d end up sending me to their fake tech site, plant a virus, then demand payment to fix it. Best to steer clear of them.

Some bloke called Andy Mason from a tech support place. He said his number was 0800 0314015 and claimed my computer had issues. He was supposed to fix it for me. But the number that actually showed up on my phone was 0151 9280076. Bit fishy if you ask me.

so this tech support called me and asked me to switch on my laptop so they could check what was wrong with it - but honestly, my computer wasn't having any issues at all. I told them I'd get in touch with my own IT team first and then ring them back. this is the number they left me with.
