My brother in Scotland got a letter from this number saying a direct debit had been arranged using his wife’s bank info. The letter told him to call if he was concerned. I hold power of attorney for him, but his wife’s currently in a care home. The letter was from a company called Itd, and it was supposed to be from The Old Farm, Trolliloes, Hailsham, BN2 74Q.

The bank processed the cash almost instantly.

So payment was supposed to be to Highdale ITD, but there weren’t any website details. They mentioned having a site but never gave any info. Bit confusing really.

Some guy named Callum rang me up, saying my washing machine warranty had expired and tried to sell me an extra 3 years for £64.80 at a special price. I didn’t give him any payment info and told him I’d call the number back to verify. After that, I rang the actual company for my washing machine and found out my warranty was still valid. Seems like a dodgy call to me!

So, this number called my mum saying they were from Homeserve, said her policy was up for renewal and she needed to pay straight away. She ended up giving her card details and paid £190 over the phone. When I got wind of it, I contacted Homeserve and they told me her policy was still valid and they had no connection with that company at all. Thankfully, I managed to stop my mum’s card before any money got stolen. Definitely dodgy!
