When I asked who the money was from and where they were ringing from, the woman on the phone just kept pushing for my new address. Loads of wind noise and car sounds in the background, definitely not an office. I said I wouldn’t tell her anything and hung up. They call again and again. Just don’t pick up. Block them.

Got a call from someone pushing a deal and I was quite iffy about it, so I asked her to send the details by email so I could check it properly. After a bit, the woman sounded annoyed and asked what exactly I wanted her to explain again. I told her I just wanted to review the info first and then ring back to book a time for the installation. She said she'd send the email, so I asked if she had my email address. Then she muttered something and laughed. I ended the call straight away!!!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent asking for me using my maiden name. Told her she must have the wrong number, then she asked if I knew anyone by that name. I said no, and she kept pushing, asking if I was positive! Haha, I just repeated it was the wrong number and ended the call. Another one to try and block, though it never seems to do much! That call was definitely from Sky. They’re trying to sell their services, but honestly, I got a pretty great offer and the lady on the phone was super nice. If you’re thinking about switching your broadband or TV plan, I’d say pick up and hear what they’ve got to say.

I received a call from someone inquiring if I was subscribed to Sky TV. When I replied that I wasn't and had no desire to get it, they pressed me for reasons. I simply indicated that I had no interest at all. Subsequently, I decided to block the number, yet they persistently attempted to ring me again. Quite frustrating, really!

Then they said it wasn’t about Sky but broadband, I said I don’t use broadband and asked them to take me off their list. Still, they kept ringing, so I said I’d report them to the police. I heard that a firm called PVC, which does paper recycling, is selling our info, so I recommend shredding your mail to stop this. I’m really tired of these annoying calls, especially as I’m poorly with a chronic illness.

Accidentally picked up the phone and it was Sky calling. I asked where they got my number from and they said it was in their records because I supposedly visited Sky[###], did a survey or got in touch with them before - which isn’t true at all. I told the bloke I wasn’t interested and he asked why! I repeated I wasn’t interested and asked him to take my details off their list, then he went on to ask what broadband I used at home. Got a call from a woman abroad claiming to be from Sky with some "amazing" deals! She asked about my current packages and broadband provider. Got a call from SKY DIRECT, he talked me through a few options but then at the last minute asked for my bank details like my sort code and account number. I never gave him any of that info. Then he asked if I checked my bank stuff online or if it comes in the post. I told him no way I’m sharing that. After that he said if I got my bank statements by post, my postman could see my banking details which sounded ridiculous to me. The number he called from was 08000291779.

Simple fix. I just don't pick up calls from anyone not saved in my contacts. If they don't send a message after calling, it’s probably nothing urgent. I usually block these numbers using 360 Security. Those annoying folks are just wasting their breath on me.

I traced the call back using my setup and it led me to some unknown location. I'd recommend everyone to just block that number before it ends up causing any trouble.

Someone rang me saying they were from sky asking for a Jenny Williams. I told them she wasn’t here and then all I heard was the sound of a toilet flushing. Made me laugh so much! Haha!

Got two calls within a day. There was just silence for a few seconds and then they asked about my internet or TV provider. They ended the call both times right after.

Purports to be from Sky, but that's a fib. Best to block this number straightaway!

It always shows up as unknown, so I just ignore it. If it was really Sky calling, they’d leave a voicemail or maybe send a text about their deals. I block it every time without hesitation.
