We just received a call from these folks.

I got a phone call from a bloke saying he was "with the local police", calling himself Jack Crawford, apparently from Hertfordshire Constabulary. The story he told was just like the ones described up top. Posing as a police officer or official is totally illegal. Watch out and steer clear of these dodgy characters! Honestly, this has been happening for ages and it doesn't seem like the real police have taken any proper action against it!

Someone rang me up saying they were with the local police, going by the name Jack Crawford from Hertfordshire Constabulary. They tried the exact same spiel I’ve read about in other reports here. Impersonating a cop is illegal, so watch out for these dodgy characters! It’s mad how this has been happening for ages, yet it seems like the real police aren’t cracking down on it at all!
