Out of the blue, they then insisted I confirm my identity by sharing my name, address, and even my bank details! This has got to be a scam! If this isn’t a ruse, then surely Speak Speak ought to lose their operating license for such questionable practices!

We've been getting calls from this number daily for the last week. As customers of both SpeakSpeak and BT, we reached out to BT, and they confirmed it belonged to SpeakSpeak. After that, we contacted SpeakSpeak directly and had a delightful conversation with a chap who was quite taken aback when we mentioned the number. He promised to look into it and escalate the issue. Curiously, we received a call from the SpeakSpeak broadband centre this evening, but they claimed that the number is not associated with them. If you're with SpeakSpeak, please make sure to report this issue.

I've been receiving calls from this number at exactly the same time every day this month. When I pick up, they hang up straight away. It’s becoming quite frustrating!

We've been absolutely inundated with calls from these folks this evening. At times, it's just a single ring, while other instances have seen them ringing as much as three times in quick succession. It’s been rather relentless, with periods of about half an hour between their calls, and they seem to be particularly active between 7 and half 8. The annoyance is becoming rather unbearable!

Absolutely! That was Speak Talk trying to get in touch. It can be quite vexing, especially since I'm on the preference service, so I know it's them ringing. If you wish to put an end to these calls, just give their customer support a bell, and they’ll happily remove you from their marketing list. Granted, this means you’ll miss out on their latest deals, but we’re fine letting go of those for some peace and quiet without annoying ring-a-dings and extra leaflets cluttering the post!

She kindly helped me fill out a "marketing opt-out form" after I answered a few security questions. She assured me that I shouldn't receive any more of these annoying calls. Fingers crossed!

I just received a call from this number. It’s mostly likely those chaps from SpeakSpeak, as that’s who I’m currently with. It seems they try their luck every three or four months! I get bombarded with calls for weeks on end, and it only stops once I hint at taking legal action. Then they disappear for another few months. They usually want to know when I’m looking to get broadband and why I’m not interested in saving a few quid (in quite a thick accent, mind!). We’re in the midst of switching to a different provider because these guys simply don’t pay attention.
