If you get a call from anyone claiming to be your bank, hang up straight away and ring your bank instead. I got a call from someone named Hilary Martin who sounded really convincing and spoke very clearly. They used the exact same lines as Barclays do. The number was an 0800 and the answerphone said "Call Bank". Took me a while to realise it wasn’t legit!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Barclays fraud team about a purchase at Ikea. I told them I would double-check with the bank and get back to them, then they just cut me off straight away.
