We’re in concord with AC on this one; these folks certainly tried to bombard us with an array of offers!

We've received the same thing, yet we haven't even signed up for a credit card.

We just gave this number a bell, and it turns out to be the real deal. Had a proper chat with the Virgin customer service team.

I've received three text messages within just a week. I'm currently in discussions with Virgin Media, and it makes us ponder whether this is part of a clever marketing scheme to entice us into signing up for one of their credit cards. It's quite suspicious, isn't it?

I've received a string of five messages over the last month, all of them from Virgin regarding a credit card. The thing is, we've never even applied for one! It's an absolute sham. I'd advise everyone to ignore these texts and spread the word!

I received a call from Virgin Money, as we hold an account with them. The caller informed me that they were notifying us about our new card being dispatched.

I've just received a similar message, and it's evident that this isn't a genuine enquiry. Let's hope others steer clear of this trap!

So, what's the deal here? Why on earth is Virgin trying to get us to ring their premium rate number to talk about a credit card we definitely haven't asked for or have any interest in? It's all quite baffling, to say the least. And who exactly should we raise this issue with? Is it OFCOM or maybe the OFT? It’s rather puzzling!

We've received a fourth text message from this number now. A week ago, we did obtain a new Virgin card, but to be frank, I have my doubts about this money alert. It seems rather dodgy, and honestly, it would be rather foolish to take it at face value. Our bank statements clearly show we've received it and are definitely utilising it!

I've received several messages from this number, claiming they're trying to verify my Virgin credit card account. The thing is, I've never applied for a card with them in the first place! Quite puzzling, to say the least.

We received a text message as well; so, do you actually receive a carbon copy in that case? Haha!

I’ve been receiving some rather pesky text messages insisting that I confirm the arrival of a Virgin credit card - a card I definitely didn’t ask for. They’ve even provided a phone number to ring for further details. Quite baffling, really!

We called the number found on the back of our Virgin Credit Card, and, lo and behold, it turned out to be a genuine text message from Virgin Credit Cards. Apparently, it's part of their Money Alert system.

We've just received another text from MoneyAlert urging us to call back. The thing is, we’ve never applied for a Virgin credit card at any point, so there’s absolutely no chance we’ll be getting in touch! 😊

It appears this number is associated with MBNA. They provide an array of credit cards, among which is the Virgin Credit Card. We had a rather dodgy conversation with their customer service representative. It took a bit of digging through a veil of evasion to find out we’ve been receiving texts regarding a card we had five years back-one that we definitely haven't closed. This particular card is a co-branded one, a lastminute.com credit card facilitated by Virgin Money.

I've received messages from this number urging us to call them to confirm our credit card details. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it for real or just a scam?
