I got calls from this number twice, once on my mobile and the other on my landline. Luckily, I wasn’t home to pick up the landline and didn’t catch the ringtone on my phone. Both calls said they were from Halifax, but when I rang Halifax directly, they said it sounded like a scam. Best not to answer or call back, it ain’t a real Halifax number.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Lloyds, saying it was a “wellness check”. The bloke sounded quite friendly and genuine at first, but then he mentioned some upgrade on my account because I supposedly receive a good amount, which is rubbish as I’ve been out of work for three months now. He even said I could pop into any branch to chat to staff whenever I’m free, which felt odd. Most reviews are saying it’s Halifax, so I’m pretty sure this is a scam.
