This is one of those dodgy scam calls, so best thing is just don’t pick up if you see this number ringing. If you happen to answer, just hang up straight away and don’t follow any instructions they give. They try to get you to hand over your card details, which legit companies never do. Instead, proper firms usually just ask for your name and birthday to find your account. Save yourself the hassle and watch out for this one! You’ll thank me later.

If you’re getting constant calls from Capital One about late payments, it can get pretty annoying. They might be a bit too pushy, ringing you multiple times a day, which honestly feels like harassment, especially with laws like the Consumer Credit Act in place. I reckon blocking their number wouldn’t be a bad idea, at least to stop the daily disruptions. Surely, they should just stick to sending letters or emails instead of bugging you while you’re at work, maybe even calling from places like Mumbai. Just thought I’d share!

Im not exactly sure if this was a proper call from Capital One or just some scam, or maybe a bit of both? I got a call about a late payment on my credit card, which apparently appeared on my file, so maybe that’s how the scammers got hold of my number. When I rang back, they did say it was Capital One, but right away I got passed to a call centre sounding busier than usual, probably in India. Thinking about it now, it does feel like a scam since I hadn’t paid my credit card this month. Guess its a harsh lesson learned.
