This is a totally legit company hired by banks to carry out their market surveys. To those asking, “How on earth do they know which branch I went to?!” well, if you think about it, it’s because the bank shared that info with them! I mean, how else could they know which branch you visited and when? Obviously! I know this since I used to work there, and just a heads up, most of the staff are uni students just trying to pay their bills. So before freaking out at some 18-20 year old, take a moment and think!

Also, they actually aren’t allowed to say which bank they’re ringing about because it’s not legal to disclose that unless you’re the account holder. You can even lose your job over it. Just putting this out there in hopes this madness on here calms down. The questions asked are super simple, like “how long did you wait?” or “was the staff helpful?” They’re not after your personal info, they don’t care why you were there. They just want honest answers so they might get a bonus, which really matters when you’re on minimum wage. Hope this clears things up!

A really pushy young lady kept asking for my husband, claiming to be from Halifax Insurance! Totally not true! When I mentioned he was unwell, she just said “call back later.” Yeah, like that’s gonna happen! Blocked the number straight away.

When I said my name, it seemed to confuse the man on the line who was asking if I was A#####C#####. I’m not, but I’ve taken on the role of group treasurer from her. From what I can work out, the only way he could have my number tied to her name might be through Lloyd’s Bank info (which I think also covers Halifax). Has there been a breach or leak of these banking details?

Got a call around 7.45pm, she asked for my husband by his name. I said he wasn’t here and asked who it was. She said she was calling from his bank and wanted to ask him some questions. I told her he wasn’t up for any survey and hung up. Hopefully, they don’t keep pestering us for ages like others have. Already put a complaint through to the TPS.

My work got a phone from someone saying they was Callum from Lloyds Bank and was after me. I wasn’t there at the time but was told they’d ring back later. I then rang Lloyds myself, but they said no one called from that name. I also tried the 0800 number but it just didn’t connect.

JUST DON'T PICK UP. TOTAL SCAM FROM UK. After digging a bit, this number 07396370758 is registered to Glasgow, Asda Mobile. Got a polite woman asking for me by name, claiming she was calling from my 'bank' after doing some 'research'. They phoned me saying they were from the bank and wanted to talk to my husband. When I asked which bank, they didn’t reply. Then they said he only has a joint account with me. They claimed it was for a customer satisfaction survey. I checked with my actual bank before using this site and it’s definitely a scam.

They rang me but didn’t bother to leave a message. You can’t be too careful with these sorts of calls anyway. I’ve read some comments saying “It’s a scam!!” then others saying “No worries, it’s legit.” Honestly, none of us can be 100% sure, so better to stay cautious. Feels like some just want to start a row! Glad I managed to spot a pesky caller with this site, cheers for that. 🙏🏻

Honestly, the best method I’ve found with these lot is just telling them to “bugger off” every time they ask something. That’s what I always do and they never ring again, usually getting pretty annoyed. I’ve had plenty of laughs going over the recorded calls (grab yourself a call recording app, they’re proper handy). Brilliant!

Got a call on my mobile, they were asking for my missus by her name, but then refused to talk to me because of the Data Protection Act! Told them to stop phoning again. Said it was some kind of survey for MY bank!!1

Got a call from 08000128025 on my home phone around 6.30pm. A young woman asked for my son by his name, saying she was doing a survey for Barclays Bank. I've got my number on the Telephone Preference Service list, so isn't this meant to stop calls like this? I told her to buzz off.

A bit annoying but totally harmless. They work for the bank doing some kind of survey about your experience, and they never ask for any private details, just how you’d rate the service. (Obviously, they won’t say which bank it is until you prove you’re the right person! It’s called data protection, people! Not every random call is a scam just because you weren’t expecting it.)

Totally harmless and legit. It was a simple customer feedback call, checking on my recent chat with Lloyd’s bank phone service. I didn’t mind giving my thoughts at all. Honestly, some of the reviews here are way too harsh - it’s their job, just like ours. I actually complimented the young lady for being so polite and professional. If you’re ever unsure about a caller, maybe do a bit of proper digging before being rude to whoever answers the phone.

When I asked which bank, they said they weren’t allowed to say that because of the law. I told them I couldn’t check if xxxx was here then and ended the call. This is legit, comes from Lloyds/Halifax/BOS's outside marketing team. They never ask for any personal info, just want your feedback on your visit to the branch or a phone call you had. TOTALLY SAFE!

Just happened to us too. My partner picked up and asked for me. The caller said they were from Newmark Research, calling for my bank. I asked “Which bank exactly?” and got told they’d only share more info once I gave them my bank's name. I said I don’t deal with these calls and have already opted out of marketing from my bank. IT'S A CLEAR ATTEMPT TO STEAL YOUR BANK INFO, SO BE CAREFUL. I told the caller to get lost and find a proper job like everyone else, then they just hung up. Had a go at calling this number thrice, yet each time I was met with a recorded voice stating, "Sorry, this number is temporarily unavailable." Just now, I answered again, and a woman wanted to chat with my other half, claiming she was conducting a survey regarding our recent phone banking activities. I asked her which number she was calling from, and she seemed to be scurrying about trying to find it before finally relaying a London number. It was all rather rushed, and I struggled to jot it down! I told her I suspected this was a dodgy call and instructed her never to ring here again. Tried calling the 0800 number as well, but it seems to be temporarily out of service again. Quite suspicious, isn't it?
