The moment I picked up the call, there was silence on the other end. I attempted to ring the number back, but it just disconnects straight away.

This woman rang up saying she was calling about some Sun Life policy my partner supposedly had, and that there were issues with it. Thing is, he doesn’t have any policy with them at all. She even asked if I knew Martin Lewis, the Money Expert, during the call. When I told her straight up that I thought it was a scam and to stop ringing me, she hung up. Not long after, some bloke called me from her work. He left a voicemail, nearly two minutes long, telling me off for how I'd spoken to her! The guy said his name was Barry Johnstone but oddly enough, he called the woman Chloe. I ignored the voicemail. He gave a number I could ring back on (0800 0096494), but he was actually calling from 01646 370009. Quite bizarre, really.
